10 Seconds About Me:

• Grew up bouncing back and forth between Seoul and Detroit. That was difficult growing up but it’s an experience I cherish looking back.

• I am one of a few wealth managers that hold both the Certified Financial Planner and Chartered Financial Analyst designations.

• 🏆 won teacher of the year award in my department in 2019. It was my first real award (excluding participation and “most improved” awards) since… 1st grade when I won an award in Korean calligraphy.

• I believe everyone has a right to know how to be financially secure, and that everyone can if provided the right tools. No more annoying insurance and other product pushing BS.

Some Things I’m Working On:

• I am a personal finance instructor at UC Berkeley Extension. Current classes include Employment Benefits and Retirement Income Planning and an introductory class called Survey of Personal Financial Planning.

• I consult BrightPlan, a fintech start up that is scaling good financial advice for everyone. We are investing in technology to make it easy and affordable.

• I help busy professionals manage their wealth at Plancorp. I opened and run their San Francisco office.
